Town of Nederland

The largest municipality in the South portion of the Peak to Peak Region, the Town of Nederland staff plays a vital role in support of human services activities, including providing no-cost office and operating space to HS agencies.

Nederland Food Pantry

Since 1986, the Nederland Food Pantry has been fulfilling its mission to provide food assistance, referral information to other social agencies/services, as well as limited resources for crisis situations for those in need in our Peak-to-Peak community.

TEENS, Inc.

​​TEENS, Inc. is committed to changing the lives of youth in the rural Nederland, CO/ Peak-to-Peak area by providing a safe, drug and alcohol free environment where youth can socialize, strengthen peer and adult relationships, develop healthy self-esteem, and master the leadership, academic and job-related skills they need to become constructive and productive members of society.

Nederland Community Center

The Community Center serves the greater Nederland area and provides space for community gatherings, town board and municipal court meetings, fitness and dance classes, and concerts and performances.

Emergency Family Assistance Association

 

EFAA helps those in our community whose immediate needs for food, shelter and other basic necessities cannot be adequately met by other means, and supports their efforts toward financial stability or self-sufficiency.

Via Mobility Services

A private, nonprofit organization that provides Boulder-Denver customers with transportation and mobility options that enable them to live a more self-sufficient and independent life.

Wild Bear Nature Center

Since 1995, Wild Bear’s mission is to provide year-round educational programs to people of all ages, fostering a life-long appreciation of the environment and promoting an environmentally aware, responsible, and ecologically sound community. Wild Bear Nature Center is the only all-ages nonprofit nature center in Boulder County, open year-round and almost every day. ​​

Nederland Community Library

The Nederland Community Library provides books, DVDs, educational items and events to the greater Nederland area. We also provide free wi-fi, computers and a meeting room at no charge to non-profits and for free events.

OUR Center

OUR Center’s mission is to help people move toward self-sufficiency by unifying community resources.  In 2017, we served over 10,000 men, women, and children.

Bank On Boulder County

Bank On Boulder County is a part of a nation-wide partnership with commercial banks to provide low or no cost bank accounts for people who have had difficulty maintaining a bank account in the past, or are reluctant to start one. The bank accounts require a small minimum deposit and are either free or very low cost to maintain. Bank On is also expanding into financial counseling and other financial instruments for participants.

Canyon Cares

Canyon Cares of Coal Creek Canyon, founded in 2006, is an unaffiliated 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.  Our mission is to provide assistance to residents of Coal Creek Canyon, Nederland, and unincorporated Gilpin County by providing short-term resources to help care for the necessities and urgent needs of our neighbors. Crisis funding in the form of a small grant is given for help with transportation, housing, utilities, health, education and other expenses.  Our website, www.canyoncares.org offers a complete overview of our history, mission and process.

Lyons Emergency & Assistance Fund (LEAF)

The mission of Lyons Emergency & Assistance Fund (LEAF) is to provide a human services safety net for those in need in the greater Lyons area. We envision a world where are friends and neighbors are cared for in their time of need and we are working hard to bring that vision to light here in Lyons.

LEAF operates three programs:
1.     Lyons Community Food Pantry
2.     Lyons Meals on Wheels
3.     Basic Needs Assistance

Nederland Area Seniors is the nonprofit senior center of the mountains, hosting the Mountain Peak Life programs for older adults, including nutritious social meals, fitness, wellness, writing, educational, and cultural activities.

DentaQuest is the Administrative Services Organization (ASO) that administers the Health First Colorado dental benefits. DentaQuest helps Health First Colorado members understand their dental benefit, locate a dental provider, processes dental claims and answers any questions about dental benefits

Colorado Community Health Alliance (CCHA)

CCHA administers physical and behavioral health benefits for Health First Colorado (Colorado’s Medicaid Program) members who access primary care services in Boulder, Broomfield, Clear Creek, El Paso, Gilpin, Jefferson, Park or Teller counties.
